ARCHITECTURE GRAPHIC COMMUNICATION 1
CUBE PROJECT
This work began with a cube composed of 2-inch modules, which was transformed through the selective removal of volumes, their reattachment in new configurations, and the addition of planes to generate a new spatial composition.
For the final iteration, the cube evolved into a meditation center organized around three distinct experiences:
a dark meditation space, a light-filled space, and a group meditation area.
The final model combines mat board with plexiglass in multiple colors, creating a stark contrast with the white mat board. The exposed plexiglass edges glow like neon, as if they’re lit from within. A custom-printed linear pattern on transparent film adhered to clear plexiglass visually unifies the composition and ties the color palette together.
For a final twist, the assignment required the design of a platform for the model within specific size parameters. The material language was extended through the use of clear and pink plexiglass for the base, creating the impression that the model is floating in space.
